Emily Ratajkowski says her breasts are holding her back from getting acting jobs.
The actress — who first broke onto the scene as one of the topless models in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video — says she thinks it’s a form of gender discrimination.
“There’s this thing that happens to me: ‘Oh, she’s too sexy.’ It’s like an anti-woman thing, that people don’t want to work with me because my boobs are too big,” Ratajkowski, 26, tells Harper’s Bazaar Australia for their August issue.
“What’s wrong with boobs? They’re a beautiful feminine thing that needs to be celebrated. Like, who cares? They are great big, they are great small. Why should that be an issue?”
Ratajkowski — who posed nude for the U.S. edition of Harper’s Bazaar in August — previously said that women are too often criticized for showing off their sexuality.
“Our society tells women we can’t be, say, sexy and confident and opinionated about politics,” she wrote in an essay for Glamour. “This would allow us too much power. Instead our society asks us to declare and defend our motivations, which makes us second-guess them, all while men do what they please without question.”

Well, there is certainly the question of her acting skills, but, IMO as one who watches a lot of movies, it does seem that the vast majority of the actresses cast in major roles these days are flat as a pancake, largely due to feeling they have to be bone thin in order to get roles. Can you name me more than one or two full breasted female major actresses that get leading or prominent roles?
The ones I see that get a lot of roles lately — Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Charlize Theron, Margo Robbie, Anna Kendrick, Olivia Wilde, Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, Kate Blanchette, Emma Watson, Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hillary Swank, Keira Knightly, Jennifer Connelly — all conspicuously absent of any significant boobs.
While Ratajkowski’s “assets” might not be considered big compared to the average American woman, I’d have to agree with her that they are much more pronounced than most of these actresses. It does seem that there is an aversion to casting young female actresses in leading roles, if their assets are too prominent. JMHO.

Yes, I did see her plenty in younger days — check out The Hot Spot — magnificent looking! But she’s been anorexic looking for at least a couple decades now, which is why I included here in the list.

If breasts are too large, the clothing doesn’t drape correctly. It is easy to make the bosom look larger, but larger ladies require an expert to make the clothes fit well and look attractive for actresses not wanting to be stereotyped as slut.
Actress Loni Anderson of WKRP fame fad a breast reduction for this reason (before she starred on the show).
