She probably used a pellet gun to show him how the book would stop the action.

Then she pulled the old ‘switcheraooooo’

She should be give 10yrs+20grand just for being stooopid, then try her to see if learned anything...

My thoughts too on the Darwin Award, except that the story indicates the idiot had already reproduced and had a second child on the way. To get a Darwin Award you must remove yourself from the gene pool without reproducing.

I don't think this guy qualifies for a Darwin award since his girlfriend is pregnant with his 2nd child. Also, she is still here to carry on her lineage.
