They're singing about my 1975 Pontiac Bonneville... 200 bucks, 46K miles, and CLEAN...
I learned to drive on a 1972 Impala. My brother had a 1970 Olds 98. I had a 1965 Chrysler 300 hardtop Coupe. My sister had a Mercury Grand Marquis and a full-sized RWD Buick in the '80s. Other sister had a 1980's Chevy Caprice Wagon. We now have a '94 Buick Roadmaster wagon with the 350 ci LT-1 engine.
I LOVE big cars.

RE 72 Impala:
Had a 68 Imapala SS for a few months, never got it on the road, though. Bought it for a 100 bucks. Had a blown (not supercharged blown, but “effed-up beyond hope” blown)327 in it ...
Body was in great shape, but I was a cash poor 20something, so it wasn’t in the cards... sigh.. what coulda been, huh...

Ha! I took driver’s ed in 1973. They had a 1972 Chevrolet Impala that we had to parallel park. I nailed it the first time. I had also been driving tractors and trucks since I was about 10 years old. The state road speed limits in Indiana were 70 MPH at that time. During the drivers ed class, I was cruising over 80 MPH on a state road. The instructor asked whether I thought I was driving too fast? I said, well yea, I guess so.
