SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) Shoppers at Westfield Mall in San Francisco ran for safety after a brawl broke out Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the fight around 6:43 p.m. at the mall located at 865 Market Street.
The first officers to arrive called for backup, Officer Robert Rueca said.
A number of fights occurred as bystanders watched. Rueca said officers tried to detain several people and some resisted.

Actually, someone resurrected the debate over whether Pluto is a planet or a Disney character.
That's what public transportation is for, genius.
And they all probably don't pay the fare.
Who's gonna force them? The driver?
Don't think so.
I grew up in SF and feel guilty about no longer being willing to visit.
this is why some people don't want to be around other people....
and this is why we can't have nice things...

25% of every dollar you pay in gas tax is used to subsidize things like public transportation and bike paths.
Thanks to your generosity, the youth of America are able to travel outside of their own neighborhoods. You can be proud that your tax money is bringing much needed diversity to this mall.
This is what happens when you remove fathers from the equation. Blacks may have been at the forefront of the phenomenon of fatherless families, thanks to Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society policies, but absentee fathers and the children that result afflict pretty much every part of American society these days (except maybe recent Asian immigrants). Thanks, liberals.

There is a reason why ultra upscale communities like Atherton do not have a BART station...
This is actually an important story. This is public disorder in some of the most expensive retail space in the Bay area.

But it won’t be for long, if they can’t get this under control.
The depreciation crisis of the wealthy progressive urban enclaves has begun.
Bami’s Amish Sons again? ..,
Just noticed that. A couple of years ago there were no bike paths/sidewalks here. Nice neighborhood, rural, thinly populated, leave-your-doors unlocked kind of neighborhood. Down a mile or two close to a building materials warehouse there was a nice trailer parked in the shade, but no tractor was parked with it. Presumably it is used for storage.
Then some idiot got funding and they built loopy wandering sidewalks along the highway here.
This year after the sidewalks were finished there still doesn’t appear to be much use of them during normal hours...
But I noticed this week that some vandals found the nice trailer irresistible and they spray painted ugly unreadable graffiti on it. We’ve never had graffiti around here.
It is not the DNA....it is the culture. Unfortunately all blacks have to fight against the slander generated by this type of activity.
People born after 1980 think this is "normal" behaviour. People born before that know that something is very, very wrong today.
Public brawls! Human excrement on the streets! Panhandlers! Drug addicts! San Francisco is certainly the exemplary city for California, isn’t it!
San Fran Cisco
Socially engineered “tolerance” for the “oppressed” at its finest.
Ain’t 1968 version 2.0 awesome!
I see one of the officers had to bring is bicycle.
Probably couldn’t put it down or it would have been stolen.
“Surrender or I will hit you with my bicycle”
The chaos erupted AFTER the brawl?
Oh, I understand now. The brawl wasn’t the chaos, it was just ethnics people reveling in their culture. The chaos happened because racist xenophobes couldn’t accept that culture, and they sought to segregate themselves from it.
No, but it's only three BART stops from the 'hood. The system has been a very efficient "thug funnel" to downtown for quite a while, now.
... and not participate in forced monetary donations.
I’ve taken the BART to that same station, but I rode from Mission Terrace, not West Oakland.
