Johns Hopkins was the first US hospital to do reassignment surgeries. They were also the first to stop because the science doesn’t support it

Enough said

Very well written.

The only thing missing is a discussion of people who do not have gender dysmorphia ... but think they do or have convinced themselves that they do because it is currently a fad and a way to get attention.

“Should we celebrate these poor young women and help further their mental issues by agreeing they are fat and need to lose weight?”

Exactly! We’ve taken mental illnesses and delusions exalted them into virtues and celebrated them in pride parades, which really shows how sick our whole society has become. AND if you’re normal you’re now the sick one.

I agree with this to the bottom of my soul. You have the situation exactly right. I have argued this on FR many times and it is my opinion when the subject comes up in discussion.

Liberals, the most gullible people on the planet, can’t make their minds change from what their Lord Media has Told.

But the truth is, if you know toddlers and preschoolers with gender dysphoria, is that gender dysphoria is as real as diabetes. It’s a biological condition.

What can be done to truly help them? Since only 50% of people who go through the only current treatment, the ridiculous binary “switch to the other gender - you WERE ALWAYS the other gender,” have any sort of contentment in life, it’s a poor treatment.

My idea for treatment is to help children understand that some boys feel and act like girls, and vice versa. To counsel adults to make them comfortable with the same. Some men feel like women. Live how you wish, dress how you wish, but you are a man. Try not to mutilate your body, but it is legal to do so. Public education should focus on truth and kindness. These are people with special needs and we need to take extra care of them like we do with those with Down Syndrome. They are vulnerable to abuse.

Thanks for what you wrote. If only we could have some effect. The trans paradigm is so wrong and it hurts the patients (thus breaking the hippocratic oath) and it hurts the entire society.

As the old (?) joke goes, if a man claims to be Napoleon, they’ll haul him away in a straitjacket. If he claims to be Josephine, they’ll fit him for a dress and a wig.

If anyone, especially a child, claims to be a dog, a dinosaur, an eagle or an elephant, they are patted on the head with a small chuckle and a knowing admonishment to either let their imagination run even more wild or that they will forget about it tomorrow.

One possible deleterious effect of Judeo-Christian values, especially in a land where Puritanism once dominated, is that sexual topics are generally treated with grave seriousness and seem to draw the most - and the most sustained - attention.

What do maladjusted people and/or children want above all else? Attention - again. Maladjusted people and/or children are constantly seen and heard saying ‘Look at me!’

Tattoos, wild clothing, piercings, wild hairstyles, tacky car accessories, etc. etc. These ‘self expressions’ are simply sirens and lights in another form.

As for kids, ‘Hey Mom! Look!’ is the eternal refrain of a child begging for approbation. Kids’ antennae are highly sensitive to adult attention thus they are always probing for a reaction especially to potentially dangerous acts.

‘Transgenderism’ is an almost ideal attention-getter. It shocks, it stuns, it confuses. It provokes a visceral reaction because it contradicts both nature and experience. All of the foregoing are catnip to the neurotic and psychotic.

Unfortunately, cognitive dissonance in parents often compels them to endorse, support, and campaign for their so-called transgendered child, because the thought of one’s own child being so far mentally gone, especially through poor and/or indulgent parenting, is too horrible for them to contemplate. And so we end up with a double whammy of Munchausen Syndrome and Munchausen Syndrome By Proxy. Jack becomes Jill and Jill’s desperate mother suddenly demands that schools, businesses and the world in general be retrofitted and made accessible to Jill, who is in reality still Jack.

We are told that transgenderism, dysphoria, etc. is a natural, normal phenomenon that is ages old. If this were true where is the widespread discussion of it from 10, 20, or 200 years ago? Homosexuality, for example, is as old as time and has been discussed, even in religious texts, throughout history. I’m not talking about androgynous dress or behavior, especially in infrequent cultural rituals. I’m talking about the attempt to pass oneself off as the opposite sex.

We are also told transgenderism is a worldwide, empirical phenomenon. If this is true why are transgenderism and its proponents almost exclusively concentrated in First World Western democracies where a high standard of living has created a leisure class with enough time for such madness? And why isn’t there a relatively equal distribution of transgenderism across the nations and continents?

The final undermining contradiction of transgenderism comes from transgendered people themselves. To wit: a man who is comprehensively successful at passing himself off as a woman will often become upset that nobody has noticed (read: praised) his deception.

As an author at The Federalist once pointed out, it doesn’t seem that transgenders are happy unless people notice that something is amiss. As usual, political correctness is a War On Noticing.

When the Tranny Toilet Wars began, one of the pro-transgender side’s favorite smug but nonsensical arguments was: ‘These people have been using the wrong restroom all along, you just didn’t notice it!’

If that’s the case then why are they seeking legal redress? Why must their delusions be enshrined into law?

The other contradiction is this: gender identity is a social construct. And if that’s the case, what criteria can possibly be used especially if a member of the protected class changes his mind every hour? Are school principals meant to muster every student who walks down off a bus every morning to inquire about his gender identity and the restroom he will be using that day? What if Jack decides at 2 PM that he is now Jill and will be switching over to the girls’ room?

In sum, the transgender movement can’t even explain the origins, criteria, ‘rules’ or anything else pertinent to their cause. They merely want to disrupt and soak up attention in an era when selfies and worldwide instantaneous communication have the potential to make any individual known to millions around the world. Being normal doesn’t draw enough eyeballs, including from family members.

The transgender people have been placed into the LGBT group. The LGBT group is a catch-all for anyone who is not in the category of NORMAL sexual. There is absolutely nothing similar about a man chopping his dick off, and a man having sex with another man. They should not be in the same group.
The LGBT group exists as a political entity, with its members being told that they are all alike. This is to constitute a larger group than what you would normally find. The politicians created this group as a solid voting and contribution block. It is functioning very well as that.
The trans people are suffering from a disorder very much like an eating disorder but they are treated differently from anorexics because of political considerations.

Treating a man as a woman because he believes it to be so is like giving a sword and a funny hat to a man that thinks that he’s Napoleon and telling him that if he invades Russia he’ll feel better about himself.
