The sidebars are missing when I access Free Republic with my laptop and desktop. Checked the laptop my wife uses, and no problem there. The settings on all three appear to be the same. Anyone else experiencing this?
Free cheese to anyone who can help me. Thanks in advance (thanks also from my sister and her moose).
Heh ;)
I changed my preferences to 20 threads per page instead of 50. I thought I had already changed that, but I guess not. In any event, my sidebar has reappeared, but all of FR is loading slowly for me. I hope it’s not about to go down again. In my experience, this is usually what happens right before it goes down.
Yep they are gone!
Free Republic is having A LOT OF LOADING ISSUES today. I have to keep stopping the page and reload the page to work. If I do not, then the web page just hangs in the spin zone.
I checked other web sites like Breitbart, Druge, Youtube and they all come right up with no issue.
Free Republic is the only page having trouble. I know Jim spends a lot of money on this and can’t understand why it has so many issues? It’s a rather simple format and should load quickly.
Thanks, but it’s too late. JimRob fixed the problems.
Earlier today the https:// address was not loading the page. I removed the ‘s’ and the page loaded but only 11 articles came up with the last one only the headline showed up.
But agree, it is a familiar situation and when it went totally down last time ---it was gone here as well for a long, long, long time. Sigh. If found early enough, perhaps a repeat of 'last time' will not be seen.
You’re welcome.
Glad things are working as normal again.
