This is a new one. Wow.
These morons can’t even run a gambling ring. Why not split the state up. They can’t govern themselves responsibly.
Couldn’t happen to a better place...well, maybe CT and CA, but this is a good start.
This is what commie RAT socialists bring to your cities, states, etc. when they’re given power. Most of em can’t even manage their own lives, let alone anyone else’s. It’s analogous to giving a loaded gun to a lunatic.
GOOD
Those games sucker the poor.
It was already one. Winners of the lottery in IL get iou’s from the state if they win the bigger payouts.
The poor will be the ones to riot when these games go away.
Hopefully they utterly destroy chicago. Only way we have a chance to turn it around.
:)
Tough luck.
obama was making the rest of the USA like his home state. Thank goodness that plague is out of office.
You known youre in trouble when even the gamblers leave town...
Running a lottery has a 0% chance of losing money. Only explanation is that someone raided the lottery fund.
“Is there any wonder why businesses and wealthy people are moving out of this state in droves....”..
Not only are the wealthy leaving, so are many of the “gibsmedats” who are migrating to Wisconsin and sucking at the breast of the states welfare program.
The lump sum BEFORE taxes is only $279 million.
100% chance didn’t read article.
About 130 million after the feds and the state your in (depending) grabs their chunk-the greedy slime.
But I would take it. Who wouldnt?
I would bet that person never gets to see a 100 million living in that state.
Just curious.
If I win, can I quick-quick buy a single-wide in Ooltewah and change my tax home to TN to A) get my winnings and B) avoid state income tax?
No. I’ve asked my wife that exact question, and she’s a tax accountant. One of her partners has a lottery winner client, or did.
