I suppose they mean Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather, since he was the director. Or perhaps Francis Ford Coppola's film adaptation of Mario Puzo's The Godfather.

Brando, thankfully, had very little to do with the film, and it would have been significantly improved had someone else been cast in his role.

Brando read his lines off of cue cards. and in some scenes I think he’s ridiculous with the cotton stuffed in his mouth. IIRC, Ernest Borgnine was considered for the role.

BRANDO WAS AWESOME.

The scene where the cat jumps on his lap was unplanned. The cat was unknown. Brando and cast never missed a beat!

Did you know they cast Brando as the Don before the script was written. The part was written for him with him in mind.

The only mis cast person was Sonny, James Caan did not do a great job IMO.
