Your list is very good. I agree with every one except oddly enough, “Citizen Kane”.

Brando, thankfully, had very little to do with the film, and it would have been significantly improved had someone else been cast in his role.

...

Brando read his lines off of cue cards. and in some scenes I think he’s ridiculous with the cotton stuffed in his mouth. IIRC, Ernest Borgnine was considered for the role.

Rocket Attack USA ought to be on your list.

Hot puppies! Haven't seen it but it's on YouTube! I know what I'll be watching tonight...

2. The Empire Strikes Back

...

Interesting how the movie where the bad guys win is so much more popular than the ones where the good guys win.

So say a bunch of millenials. Most of them have probably never seen a black and white film, not even “Shchindler’s List.”

Heck I bet you they couldn't even spell “Shchindler’s List.”

But Godfather II was better, no?

And The Dark Knight?

Which Batman movie was that?

I think that one came out about the time superhero movies started to become indistinguishable products.

Could you really tell The Dark Knight from The Dark Knight Rises?

All movies listed were entertaining with the exception of Pulp Fiction. Utter nihilistic crap.

Pulp Fiction is easily top 5 all time...

My #1:

The Best Years of Our Lives (1946)

Seven Oscars, including Best Picture. For anyone who has served in the military or been a dependent of a service member, this movie rings true, even 71 years after its release.

BRANDO WAS AWESOME.

The scene where the cat jumps on his lap was unplanned. The cat was unknown. Brando and cast never missed a beat!

Another movie that should rank high is San Francisco, which is a great disaster movie as well as an excellent musical. One of my all-time favorite songs, Would You? came from this film

I’ll go with the first Godfather movie as best of all time. Godfather II and III, not so good.

I don’t know that I would include Dark Knight among the top ten, although Ledger’s performance was phenomenal. Overall, not a big fan of the Batman movies.

I’d have to see the others again to reevaluate, but two movies I’ll watch every time I can are Tombstone and Rio Bravo.

Reading others’ posts, I don’t think most of the comedies wear well over time, with the possible exception of Animal House.

Couldn’t get through Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane or 2001. I found all three boring.

I very much enjoyed every Scorsese movie I’ve seen. The Departed was outstanding.

Empire is the best of the Star Wars movies. It has a tight script and clearly defined characters. Lots of dramatic tension. And no stupid furry animals.
