Very interested "from the heart" description of a young woman's journey out of the left-wing fever swamps.
12:49 long; I suggest you give her a chance.
Gets quite interesting at about 2:00, and stays interesting.
[ Interesting. Recognizing the brainwashing and capacity for self deception is the key. ]
All liberal indoctrination is like a house of cards that has to be constantly re-enforced with wet napkins lest if dry out and blow away....

Used to be you could easily convince people of dropping stupid habits and affectations by comparing it to something that would embarrass them or run counter to the image they want to project.
“You think that nose ring looks good? That’s how a big bull is lead to where his little master wants him to go. You want folks to think someone owns you? That you can be lead around by the nose?”

He has a great sense of humour about soundling like Kermit the Frog.. heh
Yes it will. A nose ring is symbolic of desiring to be led around. She is awakening and no longer wants to be led around.
There are so many dysfunctional families today, with moms who don't want to be moms and wives, and dads who don't want to be fathers and husbands, that young people can be forgiven for saying "I'm finished with you, I'm my own person and I'm outta here."
Of course there are an almost infinite variety of bad actors who lurk behind the bushes, ready to take advantage of that youthful impulse for their own selfish, perverse purposes. The "Honest John" character in Disney's Pinocchio is an example of this.
My daughter stayed in the same school district since kindergarten, and has watched many of her friends go through radical changes in personality. One became a transgender boy, and her story is sad and somewhat frightening. Others have become druggies, have undertaken hoax bomb attacks on the school, have gotten messed up in other, quieter ways. Many are on psychoactive drugs like Ritalin and SSRIs.
Virtually all the messed up ones come from "non-traditional families," often with divorce, step-parents, and single-parent households.
Our children haven't had to deal with that. Their parents have stayed together. But my daughter is very much aware of it, and I know she thinks about it a lot.

You make good points. I can just hear my dad saying that—as I would probably today.
I’m no fan of nose rings, but she’s NOT GUILTY. I love the Irish in her accent.
Though she claims not to be a Trump fan, she admires his speaking his truth. In him she sees a real man, and she believes that society needs real men and real women to stand up and say what they believe, whatever it is, in an environment where free speech is respected and protected.
Heard an interesting theory about body piercing. People are trying to find themselves / get through to what is of substance within.
Well you know, like, if Caroline Kennedy would have like you know, not used ,like you know, you know she may have been an appointed senator. Like you know what I mean?
I’m sure that is the reason for some. I believe there are a variety of reasons. To some degree it is a herd mentality thing as well.
Yea, pretty good. Very encouraging. Nose ring aside, she’s kinda cute.
John Derbyshire. Piercing and tats are tribal.

OK, BFL.
Yeah that was a good listen. You don’t hear perceptive self examination like that very often. If she stays on track she will be a good conservative warrior because she has really wrestled with what she believes at a deep level.
Me too. She was making me bonkers with ‘like’. Had to quit.
