I see 10-storey monstrosities every day - they pass for ‘modern architecture’.

The Buddha would at least be interesting and derived from something meaningful.

Not out there they don’t. There a few high-rises. Very few. Pretty or not.

And Oriental paganism is not “meaningful” to the local population. It is offensive.

A ten story tall Jesus would be meaningful to the locals. And it would still be an eyesore.

Hindus aren’t always so peaceful. There are videos where they go into Christian churches in India and bust them up and beat the Christians with canes.

I think this is great. Of course I do not live in or near Lancaster, CA, but there must be enough hajji around that a bunch of them will become outraged and attack the facility. Where they can then be slaughtered by the Children of Buddha. A win.

Buddhists are the most tolerant people I know.
About 15 years ago, a local Catholic church burned to the ground. The priest went around to the various other churches in the area pleading for a temporary place to hold services until his church could be rebuilt. He was turned down by every other RC church in the ares, by the Methodists, Presbyterians, Baptists and even several Synagogues and a few VFW Halls. He never contacted the Buddhists in the area, who contacted him independently and volunteered their temple on Sunday mornings for over a year.
This is the Buddhist Temple my wife attends.
