THE LOOP — A Chicago man who had coffee spilled on him at a Loop Starbucks is facing misdemeanor charges after allegedly spitting on people, punching a man and hurling racial slurs in a videotaped tirade.

An ABC7 photojournalist witnessed the tirade and recorded it.

Police said the man throwing the punches and calling people "disposable vermin" and "slave" is William Boucher, 23. He was charged with three misdemeanor counts of battery, accused of physically and verbally abusing three people Tuesday.

Boucher declined to comment in a phone call with DNAinfo Friday, citing legal reasons related to his impending court date.

The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. near State and Lake streets. It started after a black man spilled coffee on Boucher’s suit, according to ABC7.

“Shut up slave! Do not talk to me!” he said to the African-American man in the video. He also referred to the man who spilled coffee on him as livestock.

Boucher also was seen spitting on a 30-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, according to police.

“Yep, false flag. He tried to sound like a Trump supporter but his liberalism is shining through.”

Are the charges he faces a ‘false flag?”

Will his inability to find future employment be a ‘false flag?”

“And apparently he was a big time Democrat.”

I’d like to see some evidence of that as well.

That would be quite a high price two pay for a staged event he was arrested no one will want to hire him in the future.

Lefties aren't the brightest bulbs on the string. Besides, he probably doesn't need a job since he can live the life of luxury on government programs.

He could be a Democrat, he could be a Republican, he could be something else.

Does that really matter?

“disposable vermin” certainly is obscure epithet!

>How do you know he is a big time democrat?

Is it really that hard looking at the guy, seeing he lives in Chicago, and posted this about Trump.

“This is total bullying!” he wrote. “Are any of you really voting for this kid? And I’d love to tell that woman in person how well she took that! I’d give her a high five!”

I believe that statement about the woman in the hijab was posted in January of 2016 making it long before Trump was nominated at a time when it is possible that not only Democrats opposed Trump.

Does that really matter?

What matters depends on one's goal.

Curiosity is a goal unto itself, so if one is curious, in that sense it matters.

If one is strictly limiting oneself to determining if the guy was behaving as a complete a-hole or not, one does not have to know the party affiliation; for even if he were only pretending to be racist as some kind of political false flag stunt, he was still being a complete a-hole.

Or maybe one is not curious about it at all, in which case for their purposes not even that matters. But that hardly means it has no meaning in the broadest sense. But here we run into an equivocation in the word "meaning" that depends on what philosophy of meaning one holds.

But I suspect, and maybe you can clarify, you mean it ought not be looked at through the filter of political alliance, as it is inevitable that there will be some a-hole's in any political party. But, sadly, in the times we live in, this hope is in vain. The Left has been pushing a narrative of the right wing as racist a-holes for decades, and even committing hoax hate crimes quite often. It therefore matters if this was a false flag operation or not.

The exercise of determining an accused criminal’s political leanings is futile and, unless it is specially a political crime, has no reflection on others who may share their political philosophy.

For example, the 19 year old money in Texas you recently murdered her two babies by leaving them in her car for 15 hours has posts on her Facebook page that are critical of Hillary Clinton.

Her action action of murdering her kids had noting to do with her political philosophy and in no way reflects on people who may share her political philosophy.

Spitting on someone...possible transmission of disease.Punching a person....absolutely wrong except when in self defense.Assuming this is a first offense for him (perhaps not the safest of assumptions) I think he's earned himself at least a bit of time behind bars.

If it's not a first offense perhaps it should be more than a bit.

As for "hate crime"...no way would I vote guilty because I reject the basic legitimacy of all such laws.Being black...female...pervert,etc is not sufficient justification for assaults...but he deserves no additional time just because the victims were members of a protected class.

It SHOULD NOT be viewed as a politically related crime. But in fact it WILL be so viewed by many on the left, UNLESS it turns out either he was one of their own who is just racist, or one of their own who was not racist doing this as a false flag stunt. Thus BECAUSE OF THE LEFT'S narrative, it is relevant.
