How to delete everything Google knows about you
VPN ^ | 2/14/2017 | Expressvpn

Note: Clearing your browser history is NOT the same as clearing your Google Web & App Activity history. When you clear your browser history, you’re only deleting the history that’s locally stored on your computer. Clearing your browser history doesn’t do anything to the data stored on Google’s servers.

I read it and at the end saw that thereafter even maps won’t be helpful, not knowing where I like to go, my commutes, etc like it does now in seconds helping me in the car. I’d rather have those helps and conveniences. You’ll never be invisible online but that is our world today. I wish we could have all these great benefits AND be completely invisible, but I’d like a Lamborghini too.

I’ve long been annoyed and amused by turns at Google’s attempts to monetize my web surfing habits, to the point of going to really weird websites just to see what sort of wackiness will turn up later in ads via Google AdSense. I’d hate to think what their predictive algorithms think I’m all about, lol.

What bugs me is that Google clearly suspects that I’m a woman. I think it’s because shortly after buying this new computer I got on a cooking kick and wound up going to a bunch of girly cooking and home oriented websites.

So now I’m like, what’s up Google? Are my browsing habits not manly enough? How many car and gun forums am I going to have to visit before you realise what a manly man I am?

Because I need that validation from my search engine.

So, you have to visit the Google site to do any of this? I do not use Google.

Pinterest can be just as amusing and apparently there’s some kind of data sharing going on. For instance, due to articles posted here on FR I’ve done some web searches regarding transsexuals, I’m not at all in favor of it and was looking for data on suicide, substance abuse, regrets. Certainly found it, in spades. I’m also a fan of GMC motorhomes, I had one land in my lap for a bargain price and have researched them pretty thoroughly as far as restoration.

So, guess what Pinterest sent me? Take a look (language warning, occasional portsmouth):

I actually ended up liking the guy despite his personal peculiarities, there’s a whole series of Youtube vids they did, really knowledgable, possibly an engineer, very mechanically inclined. The only thing I can figure out is his clear love for boobies somehow got internalized and he wanted a pair of his very own. His girlfriend doesn’t seem to mind.
