Trump promised to crack down on illegals, including so-called "Dreamers", but ha instead maintained the status quo.

What are the chances that Trump won’t fix this before leaving office?

Really? Maybe you aren’t but I don’t like being lied to. Especially since immigration was my , and I’m sure many others, number 1 reason for voting for him.

When will there be an Amnesty for Americans?
Millions of Americans violated far less serious laws before they were adults, yet no general Amnesty has been advanced for them.
Guess citizens are just dirt, right?
You can say these “children” (they’re ALL adults) did nothing of their own volition.
But it isn’t true. Lots of them crossed illegally on their own as teen agers. So we let them stay? It should be enough that they aren’t prosecuted.

I guess you didn’t watch every one of President Trump’s speeches, as I did. He clearly stated that he was going to prioritize on violent felons and gangs. He said, over and over again, that when we got down to the “Dreamers”, we would work something out. This is what that promise looks like. Live with it.

Politically, it is the smartest thing he can do right now. Sessions, Steve Miller, Kris Kobach, and others will eventually address the problem.
Trump will pick his fights on his terms. Right now, the so-called Dreamer amnesty that Obama decreed by EO in 2012 is supported by the majority of the public, which is uninformed about the issue. And there are plenty of Reps who want to have their own version of the Dreamer program.
Trump will end the program during watch. Just not right now.

If it’s “temporary” I don’t see the problem, since it means they can be deported later. I don’t think the President is interested in a fight over DREAMERs when he only just recently dealt with the Paris agreement and is still resolving the Comey fiasco.

2 years isn't permanent, there are some exceptions to every law and rule (this is why we have judges and judgment), and most were likely just finishing up the process after years of moving forward in the system under Obama. I won't get in a twist over this just because the media tells me I should.
But I'll keep an eye on it.

Let’s start by deporting lawyers who are in the country illegally. That ought to poll north of 70%.

I'll wait to see how the Executive Branch powers are adjudicated in the Supreme Court, and how Trump uses them thereafter. Until then, I reckon I'm not feeling betrayed by Trump or enraged at Trump. My ire is directed exclusively at the black robed tyrants writing law from the bench in lower courts.
