“As a business, it is failing,” said CEO of the American Cable Association (ACA), Matthew Polka, during an episode of C-SPAN Communicators this week. “It is very, very difficult for a cable operator in many cases to even break even on the cable side of the business, which is why broadband is so important, giving consumers more of a choice that we can’t give them on cable.”

I know what wifi means. We have a wireless router that is hard wired to our hard wired modem. . My question was whether the box can be hooked up wirelessly or if it had to be hard wired. But thanks for assuming I didn't know what I was talking about. 😘

Two edged sword of course. Netflix has lots of gay crap on it, and very offensive content. But I generally believe in the idea that if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

Great point. Now the consumer gets to choose which content and when. Found a great Anime movie from the 90s at the dollar store for $1.25 so picked that up. Netflix has my favorite Robotech series. Have Tucker on the PVR when I feel like watching. Watching “Flash” on my other streaming service. Watched “Day of the Dead” on Youtube. Will eventually watch “Man in the High Castle” from Amazon Prime.

I just received a new ROKU 4 yesterday. It can stream 4k. Amazon $69
All the shows I watched before on the older ROKU 3 look better, the photos are sharper, the thumbnails brighter and sharper.

Exactly. The best part about streaming is you get to choose what you want to watch when you want to watch it. With cable they decide what’s available at what time. Example HBO had the same damn movies showing for over a year nothing hardly ever new just the same reruns of movies.... How many times can you watch The Green Mile???
