Iowa woman Amanda Garland Gravely was sitting in the drive-thru of a McDonald's with her children when she heard the furore inside the restaurant.
"Automatically, just because of how irate she was, I took out my camera and recorded her to see how far it would go, just in case," she told KCCI 8 News.
"And it just escalated really quickly."
The Des Moines mum's video shows the woman arguing across the counter at restaurant staff about the pace of her McChicken when she demands her money back.
In the video posted to Facebook on Saturday, the woman jumps onto the counter on her knees, yelling "Give me my s***" to the staff as her two male friends join in the verbal barrage.
When a staff member hands the woman her burger, she grabs it and throws it in workers' faces.
A female manager then grabs at the customer as a brawl erupts between the two women.
The pair slap at faces and grab hair as the customer's male companions strut up saying, "What's up?"
Staff come to their manager's aid but the two male customers intervene to allow the fight to continue as the blonde woman pulls the manager's hair and knees her in the face.
The women are eventually pulled apart and the customers flee the restaurant before police arrive.
"Life's too short to get that mad over a chicken sandwich," the mother said

The expanded menu has made the wait times go up imo. Often they don’t keep a lot of items
cooked and ready to go in a moments notice but rather puts these items on the grill when ordered.
Good point. Especially more difficult foods like chicken.
And then there are the “limited time” products added in!
I think everyone would be surprised at the local Wendy’s near my parents’ (my first job, actually).
For years, we could not trust them - to be timely, OR get things right. If we did drive-thru I insisted checking the items forward a bit of the window. Yes, almost always, something wrong. Which is why I always wanted to go INSIDE so it was much easier to check and complain.
They were populated by border-south types.
Then, a couple years ago, a wholesale change happened. Noticed the people changed more to the urban type. And yes, service IMPROVED!
This may seem backwards but in our case, it’s true. Guess the border-south people just couldn’t understand the language (and often neither could we).
Oh, but none of this compares to the perpetually abysmal (25 years) KFC near us.
One thing to remember is the service always gets worse at fast food places when the unemployment rate gets lower.
they are scraping the bottom to staff these places and it shows. In 2009 you could get pretty decent service. I look for more automation to replace.
Erma Gawd. Is Iowa becoming Florida?
You would know if you were on his blog ping
Shows how much you really care
She wasn’t what I was suspecting, either. What was her tox screen?
Regards,
We are a sick society.
DANG!
By the time you get it, they're half eaten......
I’ve gotten irrutated at the slow service of many McDonald’s her ein the Twin Cities area. But I could never picture myself leaping over the counter and assaulting someone.
I’m sure the chick was proably drunk or amped up on something to make her flip out. I do hope they catch her and throw the book at her. That type of behavior is ridiculous and dangerous.
They missed out on an opportunity to have a new motto, just for that tiny segment of the population.
Two suggestions:
I’m suckin’ it.
I’m fu*kin’ it.
Well Mr I’m a rude son of a bitch I didn’t know he had a blog ping.
Well thank you.
Working overtime on the queue!!
Good move to leave. Employees who don’t give a damn about service are unlikely to care about food hygiene, either.
