Is a Vasectomy Now the Only Way Men Can Be Truly Safe from Financial Extortion?
Heat Street ^ | June 5, 2017 | Martin Daubney

In some of the wealthiest neighbourhoods of the United States, a growing number of wealthy men are taking drastic measures.

A recent New York Post story – “Hamptons bachelors are getting vasectomies so gold diggers can’t trap them” – takes all we deem true about reproductive power – that women ultimately hold all the aces – and blows it out of the water.

It tells the calculated tales of four men – including a wealthy, promiscuous real estate developer who claims he caught a woman trying to inseminate herself from a condom she’d offered to flush away. “The vasectomy is insurance,” he says.

Dr. David Shusterman, a New York urologist who performs the procedures, explains: “There’s a spike in single guys who get the procedure in spring and early summer.

I long for the days of Vikings. Generally speaking, extortion was rare then, particularly if the victim was proficient with a great big axe.

Being a full parent to a child you co-create is not extortion.

See, the whole idea of children is that they are the trash outcome of an adult situation gone awry. No matter the circumstances, it is just assumed the child will take the brunt ... either by abortion, or not having a father, or whatever. The end result, the bad circumstances are just de facto assumed to all fall on the child.

Even if a many says he was ‘tricked’ (and haven’t we heard that story a million times) the BIOLOGICAL reality is that when you have sex there is always a possibility of creating a child. It even happens sometimes after vasectomy. So there is NO 100% risk free sex. Maybe when the woman is past 60 or so, then it might be possible to have completely risk free sex.

So, given the BIOLOGICAL reality, if you want to be 100% sure you will not create a child you would not have sex. Period. Married, not married, doesn’t matter. Sex is BIOLOGICALLY designed to produce children.

People are anti-science and anti-reality if they do not believe this.

The second best course of action is for both partners to use some form of contraception at the same time.

I don’t understand people who deny the biological reality of sex and then claim THEY are the victim when a pregnancy occurs? It is illogical in the extreme.

If you have sex, there is always a possibility of conception occurring. If you don’t want that to happen the burden is on YOU (one or both adults) to go to extreme measures to prevent it.

It served to make one parent not responsible for a child ... very convenient for one ... now we get abortion for convenience.

Currently we have single moms having the choice of:

(1) Aborting the baby.

(2) Giving the baby up for adoption.

(3) Keeping the baby and suing the man for child support.

The men have ZERO input as to what the woman chooses. If she chooses (3), then the men's choices are:

(1) Pay whatever level of child support the judge sets, or

(2) Go to jail.

I would propose an alternative to make things more fair, and to serve as an incentive for women to not screw around outside of marriage:

Let the woman set the level of child support.

Then, the man has the choice of either (1) Paying child support, or (2) taking full custody of the kid.

In the event he decides to take full custody of the kid, then the woman becomes liable for the specified amount of child support, with the FULL range of enforcement mechanisms applied against her if she fails to pay.

I really didn’t need your lengthy lecture about how children are created, I have four. I know all about that, and it is only tangentially related to the issue here.

I’m sure that those “random strangers” consider themselves honorable men too.

Very funny post.

That is wrong. I don’t believe in abortion. It is a wrong.

But really it is just one more method for adults to get out of responsibility ... just as it ever was.

Either way, the new human pays the price, not the responsible adults. There would be no abortion if the TWO adults were not irresponsible in the first place.

“But as long as the adults don’t have to be inconvenienced, who cares?”

Of course people care. However, that doesn’t change the fact that we are supposed to have equality under the law, for men and women, and we do not. The child may be wronged as it is now, but two wrongs do not make a right, so wronging men along with the children is not a solution.

No it is central to the issue.

People deny the reality of how biology works and want to blame someone or something else. That is in essence what it boils down to.

Sorry, but I don’t fall for that “self-righteous” berating. Amazing how that term shows up immediately when some people DARE to shame people who SINNED, to try to STOP IT, because it is sick and not healthy.

In this thread, it's more an issue of some people thinking that only the MAN should bear any penalties for non-marital sex, with no thought to subjecting the single mom to any penalties.

Children have always been wronged ... even before abortion was common.

The common denominator was/is that the child always pays the price. I would hope we could advance beyond that mentality, but there doesn’t seem to be much interest in doing that.

Too bad you won’t be able to see the cat fight.

They might not fight over your attentions but you can bet your a$$ they’ll fight over the money and say it’s for the children.

Caring for your own flesh and blood child is not a PENALTY.

I mean really. Look at this language in this thread.
Some people are no better than Obama calling a child a punishment.

“But they also had the sense to know that a man who chased after skirts was a cad and a lowlife.”

Sure, and they also had the sense to know that a women who lay with men outside of marriage was a harlot and not entitled to any financial compensation enforced by the state.

That is wrong. I don’t believe in abortion. It is a wrong.

You don't seem to have read the rest of my post. My primary argument is not to advocate for abortion, but for the man and woman to have EQUAL rights. Which includes the man having the option of taking custody if he so chooses, and making the woman pay child support (or go to jail, just like a man would).

“Children have always been wronged ... even before abortion was common.”

Wronging men won’t change that. Two wrongs don’t make a right, as I said.

So it’s better to just continue on wronging the child as has been the way since forever? Can’t we do better than that? That attitude is how we got to millions of abortions.

Also, taking care of your own flesh and blood child is not a “wrong” against you. A child is not a penalty or a punishment.

OK, then you should be fine with men having the option of taking full custody of the child, if he so chooses, and having HER pay child support, under the full enforcement mechanisms of the state.
