I still have a laptop with XP installed. Works fine. See no need to upgrade.

IE8 is the last supported on XP from Microsoft. Chrome and Firefox will stop support of XP before the end of the year.
Sites like banks and credit card will want the latest versions.
I use Windows 7 on my desktop pc and leave it running for weeks between restarts. I use Windows 10 on my laptop with several modifications so it is more like Windows 7. With a SSD drive it starts up to the desktop in 15 seconds.
