I have no doubt that the dress she wore was a calculated move.She is very image conscious. Just not sure it is for the reason Business Insider came up with..i.e. Melania.
She could have wore one of her own as they are inexpensive... but then she would be hit for promoting her brand.

I just find it irksome that the, ‘Can’t we all just get along,’ crew is nowhere to be found when the nastiest stuff is happening. I got involved originally to counter some very toxic, foundatiionless gossip that was being used to create havoc among certain posters. For rejecting unfounded, destructive Trump-related Fake News I took more than my share of hostility. I didn’t appreciate it. Nor did I see anyone intervening to curb the other party’s name-calling and screaming. Funny how that works.

Yes, it IS funny how that works. There is toxic stuff out there about the Trump family. And some folks here (and on other threads) just won’t let up. Thank you for your earlier posts. It infuriates me to see people denigrate this presidency.

Thanks for your post. The common denominator in all the toxic gossip threads is that they make Trump look bad. For example, take floating the sourceless ‘’’rumor’’’ that Bannon is going to be fired to please Ivanka and Jared. That infuriates many of Trump’s most loyal supporters. Most telling, they get upset with Trump for siding with the Kushners against Bannon.
Except that in fact Trump has never done that. It’s all vile, toxic gossip. It riles people up and turns them against Trump—on the basis of a lie.
Naturally if we call attention to this anti-Trump play we’ll be called stalkers and worse. It’s no fun to throw b o m b s and attempt to cause havoc if you get promptly called out on it.

I don’t know why the mods allow it except they give a lot of leeway to us in terms of expressing ourselves. But this kind of stuff annoys Trump supporters and demoralizes others - and does no good whatsoever. Unfortunately, we don’t have a ‘block’ apparatus here so must come across these dumb threads every five minutes!

That’s what it does, and that’s ALL it does. I have tried explaining to the perps that it ultimately drives people from the site. Who wants to wade through anti-Trump sludge when you can go to other pro-Trump sites and avoid it?
Me, I like FR, and wish there were fewer posters in the ‘annoying,’ category. But for now they’re here, and we make the best of it.

I wish you the best bearing up under such irksome content in the future. I’m sure it’s not easy. Nonetheless, 100 posts into fashion pics of the nice Trump ladies, we have mutual enemies that deserve more of our attention.
I will take your words to heart right after you show up on one of the screaming, name-calling threads and ask the aggressive party to tone it down.
But no one ever will, because they don’t want to be the next person to get screamed at and called names. It’s not the kind of experience/treatment people come here for.
