I take it he’s a Navy Captain (O-6) not an Army, Air Force or Marine Captain (O-3) right? Why not send a C-130 “Puff the Magic Dragon” to eliminate them?

There are only two legitimate goals we can have in Syria: (1) support the current regime, or (2) replace the current regime. Option 2 will lead to an even worse regime that hates the West even more, so it is unacceptable. We need to support Assad, whom I despise, or get out.

It’s illegal for Syrian government troops, supported by allies they invited in, to move into certain parts of their country. Got it.
