First time I got a card I fell into the same trap that I have seen many fall into, paying off the “minimum” each month because I sure needed that money for something right now. I had to discipline myself and before there was on line I made a point of going to the bank at least once a weak and transferring the balance. When I got on line I was used to that and it was always a little irritating by then to see a balance and I checked it, still do, daily, bank and card, so I just got into the habit of making that line =$0. I don’t get into trouble that way.
