She played the game by the wrong set of rules so no, she lost. Playing by the rules of software when the game is hardball means you lost before the votes were even counted.

As some of you know, I made it to the top 10 in a Ford Motors contest with an idea on how to help Manhattan commuting run smoother.
I didn’t win any of the top 3 prizes, which were 15k, 7k and 3k.
Viewers of the proposals were allowed to vote at the finals and I came in second place in that.
But I KNEW ahead of time that the panel of 5 decided.
And I lost.
It’s never occurred to me that I “Won”.
Because I didn’t.
It’s that simple.
