And if a pack of 1 to 2 meter (3 to 6 ft) long snakes working together wasn't enough to give you heart palpitations, they do it by hanging upside down from the roofs of caves.

I see a SYFY movie with hanging snakes grabbing the tourists on a secluded island.
Usually “pack hunting” features some sort of sharing of “the kill”. It might be hierarchical sharing with “high status” pack members going first but it’s still “sharing”. As far as I know snakes swallow their food whole. So how can there be “sharing”? With no “sharing” why hunt as a pack, why cooperate?
Excellent points. Perhaps it’s not really pack hunting on the snakes’ parts, but rather that they simply, for whatever reason, stay together as a group. At least that particular species or particular group.
