You bet. I’d also want to see a report on actual costs from real cost accountants. I’ve been involved with government long enough to know that most of the accounting folks employed by the government aren’t up to the task.
Frankly that’s stupid. Blowing more money just so you can feel like they’re being “punished” is just outright dumb. Especially when you remember that it was a minimum security prison for work release. There’s simply no valid reason they should be punished more.
As for the costs, the government has open books. Look it up yourself.
Out here in reality Arpaio was a crappy sheriff who put up a stupid prison just so he could feel tough and wasted tax payer money with it for 25 freaking years.
