I remember also hearing reports way back then that Ron Brown had a bullet hole in the back of his head. Was that true?

The story at the time was that Ron Brown was killed in the plane crash, and suffered a VERY common plane crash injury: a small, neat hole directly on the top of his skull.

There was an X-ray which clearly showed the bullet hole.

But, as happens so often, the government lost the X-ray.

Ron Brown had a perfect hole but no bullet. The hole was possibly produced by a device used to slaughter cattle. Such a device was used by the killer in the movie No Country for Old Men

Definitely true. The Naval Lab autopsy photos & X-rays were very clear on that point.
