I remember watching Gumby as a little kid and being freaked out! It was the Claymation. I knew that real things didn’t move like that! I preferred Kukla, Fran ans Allie!

With all of that, it would be hard to build reader loyalty anyway, especially if the reader demographic is young males looking for a hero who always gets the girl. That doesn't sound like what the producers are producing.... No, lately they are mostly about heroes who are transitioning into a girl. And other PC baloney.

It's things like let's make little orphan Annie
but black! and a New Deal FDR fan.
Harold Gray is rotating in his grave.

The exception is Jennifer Lawrence of Hunger Games movies. She broke the glass ceiling as nearly the only successful female action hero.

Yeah. I was a definite Sgt. Rock fan. "The Haunted Tank''' also. Do they even print those comics anymore?

Also people are keeping a list of Gay Movies that contain explicit gay scenes.
The latest Alien movie Covenant is a gay flick on the black list.
Need a comprehensive black list of gay scene movies to avoid.

I’m not so sure .... some have a natural aptitude and bypass the hard work to arrive at stupid .... look at Schummer, Pelosi, Bill Maher, Colbert, Letterman, etc.

It would take several hours to deconstruct all the subliminal sexual cues in that picture. Some are blatant, others more subtitle.

I could have told them that prior to their fulsome embrace of political correctness, if they would have asked. Teenage boys prefer action, not squishy social commentary about relationships.

*Meh* I was never impressed with them. Thought they were a little ridiculous. Besides I think Joe Kubert and Russ Heath were excellent artists. Heath was a superb comic book artist.
