Funny you should say that.
I only buy foreign cars, but when I rent, sometimes I get stuck with a Chevy. At least half the time, it's a disaster like locking myself out of the car because I was to not to know that the door locked behind me when I got out with the ending running to ask a policeman a question; or barely being able to see behind me because half of the back window is opaque and the center supports are massive (and also opaque).
It amazes me that a company like GM wouldn't make sure that their cars in the major rental fleets aren't at least twice as good as what they sell. Those rental experiences are the real test drives.
I would NEVER buy a Chevy.

To be fair, Chevys are cheap compared to their competition. As there isn’t a lot of profit in the entry level vehicles that Chevy mostly makes, cost-cutting has to show up somewhere.
