Why does a train station have/need a reserved seating section? Reserved for who?

There’s first class seating and coach seating. When you pay for a first class ticket there’s a separate area for them. I traveled AMTRAK Empire Builder from Seattle to Chicago and paid for a roomette which is first class in that meals are provided and you have your own room. At Chicago there’s a room set aside for those passengers traveling first class. Just saying that maybe the lady got confused and entered the wrong room; however it’s a very large room (Chicago) and there’s no set seats, it’s like a large living room. Anyway, just saying. The cops were totally out of line the way they handled the situation. Thugs come to mind.
