I hear the same story, told in different ways, all over New York City. I know a number of men who have remained single and who are over the age of 50 — they are, mostly, happy, well-adjusted people. They have money in the bank, friends, hobbies, and a settled approach to life, They do not appear to be missing anything.
I know a number of women who have remained single and are over the age of 35 — they are, entirely, bitter, angry, resentful people who don’t understand why all the good things in life have been withheld from them. There is a hole in their lives they cannot fill.
Get a clue: Men don’t really need women, but women sure do need men.
Lesson: Women need to make some adjustments.
Do the dear sweethearts see any association at all to the war on men and boys?
The adoption laws here are insane as well. A member of my family had several miscarriages and looked into adoption. There were several stories in the news then about biological mothers taking children away from adoptive parents and she knew if she adopted it would rip her to pieces if that happened. Our laws favor the biological mother/parents which means adopting can be a mine field.
We need to change our laws to protect the children that are adopted; if one gives a child up for adoption that needs to be the end of the story. No going back after attachments are made because one changed their mind. Personal responsibility and all that.
It’s not that modern men are childish. It’s that they are rational. They understand that a man in 2017 who gets married is totally at the mercy of hus wife, who can destroy him at whim.
Why get married, as long as there are plenty of women willing to have sex with any man who a middle class woman would consider marriage-material?
Childish men are half the problem, childish women the other.
Who is the bigger child, the childish man or the childish women that stays with him?
I need to add here, the 22-40 year olds have massive student debt. I’m telling you that is the untold reason why men in that range generally do not think they are able to have a family with kids and choose to wait.

Oh believe me it is, you hit the nail right on the head. I grew up there and finally escaped 6 years ago. It IS without question the a-hole capital of the world, no question whatsoever. You could not pay me enough to live in NYC again, I get physically ill just thinking of going back there. People think Berkeley is leftist? Try New York city. Just as one example, around 15 years ago I was eating dinner in a Japanese restaurant with my elderly parents when my father said something about Bill Clinton a leftist overheard and didn’t approve of. The leftist proceeded to come over and spill my fathers drink then proceed knock his dish off the table, then said something about Bush “killing retarded people” after which I stood up and smashed the guy in the face knocking him back and I probably would have done more but my mother had a heart condition. The employees came over and broke it up, the cops were called, they arrested the leftist. Just one example of the kind of people you run into there.
A woman who wants to marry and have children can do so, if she follows a simple procedure:
1) Be willing to marry in your early 20’s
2) Date only guys who you are sure would be interested in marrying you, even if there are more exciting guys who will go out with you (but only if you offer no-strings sex).
3) Be willing to date guys who are five years older, or more.
4) Be willing to make an effort to make him happy.
I know a 27 year old who’s a professional with an advanced degree living with a 40 something professional (male) and they are finally engaged to be married. But he makes her pay half the house payment and tells her they can’t have kids until her student loans are paid off.
They are spending about $26,000 on a wedding.
I’m thinking, “why?”
The bloom is off the rose at this point.
If you get the milk for free, why buy the cow?
I’m a grandfather who has been with his only wife for 35 years. But I’ve seen what happened to too many of my friends.
For at least the last 30 years, straight White men have been made fun of and minimized by the Media and the Educational Establishment. That, plus an increasing number of men raised by women without decent male role models. Is it any wonder it having an effect?
On the flip side, if I was a young man today, I’d be in absolutely no hurry to marry. Especially with so many young women who fancy themselves progressive SJWs. Maybe they should marry Somali or Syrian refugees and let me know how that works out?
Uh, Kate. If you didn’t give it away it would be more valuable to men.

Women harbor no blame or responsibility. Men are expected to shut up and do her bidding.
And they will keep wondering why men are sick of this crap and are walking away. We aren’t the ones that need to reproduce by 35.
I think both men and women need to recognize that you can probably have Anything that you want; but you can’t have Everything you want.

I think desire makes a difference. Like when women have abortions it’s just a fetus or a clump of cells. Or when they want the baby and the ultrasound shows the woman her “baby.”
