just consider that 300 million of these monies are all coming from China where they will keep funding Transformer movies to the end of time.

That means Hollywierd coud be losing something like 800 million this summer without that 'easy money'

This is bad. Maybe Homowood can get big government to force us to buy tickets. Certainly they had the power to get the federal crime law enacted to punish people that might copy a movie in exchange for 5 years and $250000 fine for make a simple digital reproduction.

Recently I went and saw “Fate of the Furious”, I had to sit through 30 minutes of previews etc. before the main film even started. Much too long.

I saw Guardians last night. I loved it. So funny. I like the Marvel movies. They make me laugh. And I always have a good time when I watch them.

With Guardians 2 at the top of the box office that first sentence has a bit of a problem. And really summer movie season has barely begun, easy to say revenues will be down when they haven’t even started yet.

I have just about reached my limit on DC Comics and Marvel Comics movies. What was refreshing and new is now just down right boring and predictable.

I stopped watching DC Comics and Marvel Comics movies intentionally when I couldn't tell what number in the series the movie was. At least with Star Wars they told you what number it was. I don't want to watch the last one if I haven't seen the two or three before it. It's the same with Transformers and the The Hunger Games.

Even these recent Star Wars movies are blurring the sequence. I've seen one of them on Netflix but I don't know which one it was. I haven't been in a theater since The Patriot seventeen years ago.

I would imagine if Mel Gibson wished to direct there could easily be big selling movies about Bull Run, Shiloh, Gettysburg, and Sherman’s march. Those 4 films would sell bigger than Braveheart

and having a tooth pulled

I had an infected tooth that hurt so bad once, I wanted to die. Once it was pulled, I cried tears of happiness at the relief...

I went for the popcorn and really enjoyed the movie. Great soundtrack. My wife and daughter also said you really don’t need to see the first movie to understand it...which is a plus.

Guy plays the same in every movie, all he basically has to do is show up, read his lines and collect his 50 mil.

Can’t stand him.

They are making cr9p movies. They all have agendas too. Plus most of hollywood has mouthed off about politics. No way will I pay to watch them. To much CGI in movies.

"Most of what is produced is fit only for 'straight to DVD'".

Funny you would use the word, "straight" in reference to Hollywood. Every show or movie seems to be aimed at a different target these days.

I’d love to see Dicaprio reduced to a net worth of $5 million and an income of $150K/yr.

Not painful enough. By most Americans' standards, that's a kingly financial picture.
