Anonymous explains why Bitcoin is being plundered. Well, ok then.
I never really understood how bitcoin had any value at all. It just seemed a scam from the start to me. Get people to spend real money to buy imagined money and then pocket the real money.
Apparently it has great value to the hacking community.
Perhaps trying to destroy the darknet, it is the currency of choice in that world.
Bitcoin is based on a global market with a finite resource pool. It’s a virtual commodity. The inventor of Bitcoin has stated definitively that at some point the last Bitcoin will be “mined” and the value of the currency will be based on market fluctuations. 1 BTC is currently worth ~US$1700. The value has been as low as $200 and varies greatly month-by-month.
There are plenty of legitimate business who accept BTC as well.
I noticed something was off when I saw the number of subscribers the channel had. Thanks for taking the time to report this.
Op spreading FUD, prolly has holdings in Ethereum or Ripple lol
It is not exclusive to criminals, and remember that Bitcoin is based on a blockchain register. This means that Bitcoin isn’t really anonymous; it’s pseudonymous. The blockchain has records of all transactions. Tracing the endpoints can be done, but it does require significantly more legwork than traditional currency tracking. The government doesn’t like it when the People make their jobs harder.
I sure wish I hadn’t sold the bitcoin I had. :-(
Is Bitcoin how the ransomware hackers get paid without getting caught?
yeah, the guy says the date at about the 30sec, they can’t be blamed on the Trump
Good thing I cashed in my 401k to invest heavily in this and carbon credits. I have it made in the shade.

Actually, I think you understand Bitcoin perfectly.
Essentially, yes.
“I have it made in the shade.”
not really; your portfolio lacks Dutch tulips and investment sardines. probably a few dot com startups would round things out a bit as well.
Is anyone advertizing Bitcoin as "sound money"? Anything whose buying power "varies greatly month-by-month" is not sound money.
I skipped the tulip market but have a big chunk of the opium poppy seed market. I told Huma that I didnt want my $$ going to Afghanistan and she told me not to worry.
Most of the people I know, myself included, look at Bitcoin as a volatile investment instrument. It changes by the minute, and if you are in the business of “timing” your investments, you can get in and out and make a few hundred dollars in one afternoon. It’s “beer money” in the grand scheme of things. I don’t know anyone investing serious cash into it.
Maybe I should invest my bitcoins into the unicorn market.
