Judge Priest (Will Rogers), a proud Confederate veteran, uses common sense and considerable humanity to dispense justice in a small town in the Post-Bellum Kentucky.
Judge Priest (1934) on IMDb
I watched that movie at the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore, OK. I don’t know if they still show them but it was good.
I loved the confederate parade at the end of the movie. I was surprised pc TCM ran it a few months ago.
They also had on display the Confederate uniform of Will”s Father. He was a captain in the Cherokee Mounted Rifles.
Rogers County OK is named after him, not his Son Will.
Super excellent movie.
I watched it at least 10 times and then I bought a copy.
At first I thought I was reading “Judas Priest”, an old heavy metal band from Britain.
