I was 19 years old in 1977. I didn’t see SNF. In fact, I’ve never seen it.
I dismissed it as a disco flick. In the urban south where I grew up - you didn’t do disco. Not at all.

In the late ‘70s, I was all Country & Western and Rock & Roll ... the existence of Disco barely entered my consciousness.
