Yes, you’re right. Now you skip a single show and five characters are lost and another five have been added.

As for soaps, in the old days you could miss a daytime series for months at a time, and the first show you viewed after that period, you picked it right up seemingly where you left off. I can remember looking in on the show as much as five years later, and still knew most of the characters.

My grandmother liked a couple of them. As the World Turns and the Edge of Night. LOL

Some of those early SNL guys were excellent comedians.

I still miss Garric Morris. Chico Esquela... or something close to that. The Dominican baseball player character.

My all time favorite was Father Guido Sarducci——especially when he was doing his “Find the Pope in the Pizza” contest.

Absolutely side-splitting comedy.
