KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City woman says she was forced to urinate in a cup on a United Airlines flight and now she wants to know why the flight attendant didn't just let her go to the restroom.
Nicole Harper tried to use the restroom on United flight 6056 on April 10th. A flight attendant ordered her back to her seat. The seatbelt sign was still illuminated.
"I said 'I'm going to need to use the restroom or I'm going to need a cup.' They handed me the cup which was about this big and I was like 'I'm going to need a second cup.'" said Harper.

The last time I was on a long flight, both the pilot and the co-pilot (separately LOL) came out to use the restroom, and the flight attendants were roaming the aisles with the drink carts.
All with the seatbelt light on.
Times to pee when traveling:
15 min before boarding starts
10 min after the seat belt sign is turned off after take off
40 before landing while the seat belt sign is still off
After you land at one of the airport restrooms
Plan accordingly
Got to the airport 3 hours early.
Spent almost 2-1/2 hours in TSA line due to malfunctioning equipment. Many people missed flights.
Got to gate just as boarding started but figured I still had time to pee before boarding.
Found that bathroom was closed due to remodeling.
Boarded plane.
30 minutes into flight seatbelt light still on.
Flight is bumpy and Pilot finally announces that seatbelt light will probably remain on for entire 4-1/2 flight.
Of course, flight attendants have been handing out drinks the entire time.
Hilarity ensues.
Finally to quell rioting, attendants start letting people get up one at a time to use the restrooms.
Would you prefer window, aisle or potty seat?
Joe? Do you have a pic of this on an airline by some chance?
Maybe she should have planned better or worn a diaper.
Coffee
Tea or...
Pee
Air travel. So glamorous. The reason we are planning to drive in August - 12 hours each way.
“Why dont people go to the toilet before boarding?”
Some of us need to use the bathroom between going at home and arriving at church. LOL
Speaking from personal, first hand experience ...
A puke bag can be used to contain urine. Speaking also from first hand experience, a PowerAde bottle is a superior urine container to a spring-water bottle or a puke bag.
I have great hope that some folks may find this information marginally useful.
“Not sure what the answer is.”
If one is unsure if they can hold their bladder for the duration of the flight, either wear “Depends” or else take ground transportation. Or do not drink for several hours before the flight and visit the restroom immediately before boarding.
I say this as one who takes “water pills” for my heart and have wondered if I am approaching that kind of decision.
(No, I have not tried Depends...)
