It’s not so specific as that. Most agents are loyal to “the boss” Comey and they feel like their agency is the last law enforcement entity that is above reproach. They feel like Comey doesn’t play sides and that his firing is politically motivated due to Flynn.
Basically a lot of agents are just too much in their own bubble or too blinded to see what the rest of freepers and conservative america is witnessing right in front of them. Kind of like how when elected officials end up living in DC so long they forget what their constituents really believe back home.
That’s essentially what’s happening right now at FBI

That narrative isn’t going to fly because, unlike Archibald Cox, Comey was pretty much detested by both sides. Democrats hate him because they think he tipped the election, and Republicans because he let Clinton off the hook. Archibald Cox was revered by the Democrats.

I suggest anyone who thought that comey was not going to get fired watch the first two season of the apprentice. the most interesting part of the show is his reasoning for firing someone. a lot of times the person who was fired got there not because they messed up on a challenge but because they messed up in what the show called the boardroom. ways that it happen was when asked of a failed leader of a challenge who was there weakest person on the team. the leader would offer up the strongest participant in the hopes of keeping a weak person in the game and get rid of someone that they saw as a threat. he would end up firing the leader for incorrectly identifying the weakest link.
Comey was fired because he was playing that sort of game. if you watched how he was behaving every decision he made was about advancing him and making decisions that were good for him not the FBI. the only reason why Comey was not fired the first months of president Trumps tenure as president is that he wanted to make sure that Comey was torn to shreds by the democrat party before getting rid of him.
When I came to realize the FBI’s role in the Oklahoma City bombing, and how they handled that (domestic right wing terrorists and nothing more) I realized just how far they had fallen and become an arm of the left.

after his “no intent” judgement, while having overwhelming evidence that Hillary did indeed break the law, i viewed comey as guardian of the swamp. now, maybe criminal proceedings can proceed like they should have last july.
What can she do? She has blamed Comey for her loss. She should celebrate his departure but she just can’t celebrate anything Trump does. What to do?
This had nothing to do with any possible Russia investigation. It is because of the Hillary press conference, which was highly irregular.
