Venerable Fulton Sheen draws an interesting connection between Muslims reverence for Mary and the daughter of Mohammed and the appearance of Our Lady at Fátima.
This brings us to our second point, namely, why the Blessed Mother, in this twentieth century, should have revealed herself in the insignificant little village of Fátima, so that to all future generations she would be known as Our Lady of Fátima. Since nothing ever happens out of heaven except with a finesse of all details, I believe that the Blessed Virgin chose to be known as Our Lady of Fátima as a pledge and a sign of hope to the Moslem people, and as an assurance that they, who show her so much respect, will one day accept her Divine Son, too.

It appears to have been posted in ‘General/Chat’, not ‘Religion’. Perhaps the thread should be moved..?
That appears to have been the mistake.
Religion Moderator, can we move this to the "Religion" thread?
It’s heterosupremacist’s thread. You need to ask hetero get this interloper gone. Catholics trashers like MarchonDC are not allowed on Catholic threads to trash the catholic church.
Hetero, I'll leave it up to you. Sadly, this thread's been hijacked.
Go away. “Reformed Catholic” my Asperges me Domine.
I have marked the posts for abuse.

Thank you for that. Although I am a monthly giver to FR I sense wayyy too much anti-Catholic vibes here and it makes me, well. angry. There are wayyyy too many worse things to be anti about.
I know our priest is doing Masses for the Five First Saturdays. I would surmise that many priests are also doing that.
I just finished the 5 first Saturdays this weekend. It was a wonderful feeling to offer them to her in reparation! They don’t offer first Saturday masses you have to kind of do it yourself. But we finally have a priest offering a first Friday mass with adoration. It is awesome.
My family and I have grown so much in our faith this last year. It started with a Marian Concentration followed by 2 visits to the traveling Virgin statue. It is traveling the country. I was finally enrolled in the scapular. I’ve fallen in love with the rosary and pray it everyday. It is so true that she leads you directly to Jesus.
My daughter who was wafering in her faith s now completely in love with the Catholic faith and is going to go to John Paul Catholic University to become a theology major. Wants to go into youth ministry.
The blessings just keep coming.
I would recommend finding out the traveling statue is coming to a parish near you and go. It was a very beautiful experience.

It was here locally a couple of years ago......maybe as many as five or six years ago. It’s scheduled for other locations throughout my state right now.
The guidelines for the Religion Forum do not apply to threads posed outside of the RF.
The caucus designation has been removed.
Even if it were in the Religion Forum the caucus designation would not be valid because of RF guideline violations by Catholic and non-Catholic posters alike.
It will not be moved to the Religion Forum.
Appreciate the clarification, and the title update. Thanks!
Whether it is an open thread or not - I would hope that we could debate things in a civilized manner. I know as a Protestant that I learn things from these Catholic threads. I have no idea if the muslims treat Mary or these various “forms” of her - (or whatever these various visions in different places are called) as one of their own spirits, or if it is a mixed-up mix or whatever.
The muslim “religion” was made up my mohammed - inspired by Satan, it has no “truth” in it. That said, God can still lead them to Jesus and salvation. I believe that many muslims are earnestly seeking the truth - and I pray that they will find it.
Thanks for the link. I saw the “Blue Army” thing - and recalled something about that right near where I used to live in New Jersey thirty years ago - about a mile as the crow flies. “The Blue Army Shrine” in Asbury, NJ. I had no idea what it was - but now I do! Makes me wish I would have stopped in.
