They’re going to SUE? Give me a break.
I hope Delta countersues.
To: SoFloFreeper
I bet Delta’s shareholders don’t.

Hopefully the other angry screwed passengers are willing to be witnesses.

If it was my kid, I'd sue. Who the hell did she think she was, to physically assault a 12 year old kid? Not like he was doing anything wrong.
To: sickoflibs
I’m wondering why that agent hasn’t been charged with assault and/or battery.

Should have pressed assault charges. Probably not too late. If it was my kid, I would.

Even if he was doing something wrong, physical assault is not usually the first step in gaining compliance.

22,000 flights a day, 365 days a year. It should not really be news that every couple of weeks an airline employee connected with one of those many flights does something stupid or less than photogenic. I’m more worried about terrorists (ISIS, Al Qaeda, Antifa, the DNC, and Black Lives Matter), and about our elected politicians.

an attorney for the airline said Matthew interfered with the Delta agents ability to communication an announcement. I think Delta's attorneys also have problems speaking concisely ("to communication an announcement"). Still no reason to assault and batter a child. The Delta agent should be charged and jailed.

Depending on the jurisdiction, the agent blew by assault and committed battery when she struck the child. Why the heck the agent wasn’t charged, especially given the age of the victim, is beyond me.

Yeah, man. Everyone should be able to hit a 12 year old kid, any time, anywhere.

Honestly, if I had to put up with what I’ve seen on planes these days I would hit a few customers as well.
To: SoFloFreeper
Yes, we can’t have recordings of ill-mannered behavior by Delta employees, so assault and battery against 12 year-olds is justified. Every business should adopt that as a policy.

Just a New Yorker acting like a New Yorker. It’s been full of jerks as far back as I can remember. Not sure why it is news that some Yankee would act that way.
