There is a chapter in Moby Dick that talks about the sharks going after the dead whale.

But then again, there is also a chapter on CHOWDER! LOL!

And also a chapter called “The Cassock” which is about the whale’s you-know-what.

Off the Newport area there is the 14 mile bank where the depth drops off suddenly. That is where everyone goes to deep sea fish for grouper and other species. I guess that’s where they wanted it to drop. Provides food to a couple predators on top and thousands below.

During one of the "Shark Weeks", researchers in South Africa towed a whale near Seal Island, iirc. Sharks hang out to try to snag seals.

Any way, they set up cameras, etc., and even climb atop the carcass.

The researchers actually on the whale weren't too bright, because they forgot that when the feeding sharks remove enough underwater mass, the dead whale will roll to reestablish its center of gravity.

Everybody managed to make it into boats, intact.

Can a shark “binge eat”? I thought it was called a “feeding frenzy”.

My goodness the young snowflake journalists today are flaming dumb. Beyond flaming dumb.

How do you eat a whale?

One bite at a time.
