Well, I don’t see anything wrong with a registry - it’s usually the bride who is behind all of that, and brides tend to rule the roost of weddings.
My problem would be with the extravagance as I’ve heard tell; and thoughtlessness as to how this particular list would appear.
No one is writing that bridal registries are wrong. What’s setting people off is a fat cat asking for donations on his second (or is it third?) marriage. I married at 38 and we had a quiet, demure wedding, lol, and paid for everything ourselves.
