Police were able to nab a Florida fugitive after she sold herself out with a Facebook Live video.
Markesha Wilkerson, 18, had a warrant out for her arrest, but that didn’t stop her from posting a live video from a Chuck E. Cheese in Lakeland, Florida.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said they were searching Facebook when they spotted Wilkerson broadcasting a video of herself posing with a Chuck E. Cheese character, according to news station WTSP.
The sheriff’s office contacted the Lakeland Police Department, which dispatched officers to arrest Wilkerson at the chain restaurant.
The teen had been wanted on charges for improper display of a firearm and failure to appear in court.
“Crazy criminals are appreciated, stupid criminals are appreciated. We recommend that if you are wanted, to post on Facebook or Instagram, and let us know where you are,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told WFLA.
