2 students accused of distributing nude photo of teacher

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. Authorities say two North Carolina high school students used trickery to get a nude photo of a veteran teacher from a social media site and then were arrested after showing the picture to other students.
Local media outlets report the 16-year-old students are charged with misdemeanor disclosure of private images. Each was given a $5,000 unsecured bond, and they have a June 15 court date. It's not known if they have attorneys.

Good question.
All are risky. However, I think a “reasonable expectation of privacy” exists for direct individual telephone calls and e-mails.
As far as “social” media, not much.

My sense is if it were not a fag, they would not have been charged. The charge itself is bogus, how can one be charged with distribution of private images taken from a public site?
The answer is you should not be. So rather than charging them with outing the fag, they went this route.

Had an assistant principal in high school who was like this man. He was always a very creepy guy.
For some reason he always liked telling female students about his python. As in his REAL pet snake, a ten-foot long python.
Now as a jaded young-ish adult who survived a naive adolescence, I have to wonder how much of that was a double-entendre.
