It has been over a year since Michael Strahan left his co-hosting gig on Live, but according to reports, Kelly Ripa has finally made a decision on who would replace him on the program. Her new co-host is set to be none other than Ryan Seacrest.
According to a report from CNN, Ripa will announce that Seacrest is going to be her new co-host on Mondays show, after a year which saw her utilizing a format of guest co-hosts ranging from Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, Jerry OConnell, Fred Savage, and even her own husband, Mark Consuelos. She announced to fans via Twitter on Sunday that she was finally choosing a new cohost.

It appears the decision to hire Seacrest for the job comes from the competition that NBC will provide for their third hour of the Today Show come Fall, which will see a new show hosted by Megyn Kelly, after her decision to leave Fox News for the network. According to the report the new job wont affect any of his other work commitments, which include hosting red carpet specials for NBCs E! network, or his nationally syndicated radio shows for iHeartMedia. Seacrest was already a part of the ABC family as the host of Dick Clarks New Years Rockin Eve each year.
However, despite his many credentials in the business (he got his start as the host of Foxs American idol), many dont seem very impressed with the pick on social media, as several Twitter users have reacted with disappointment at the news.
Republicans keep blaming immigrants when it's really Ryan Seacrest taking all their jobs.

Ryan Seacrest would host me going to the grocery store. What took so long to make him the selection?

I don't know what happened between them, but at some point, I think Ryan Seacrest decided to take every job Brian Dunkleman might want.

Seacrest is the third man to fill a co-host seat on the long-running daytime series since it was first introduced to the public in the 1980s. It gained major prominence as Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, featuring Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford, until 2000, when Gifford left the show. She was replaced with Ripa in 2001. The show ran as Live with Regis and Kelly until Philbins retirement in 2011. Strahan took over the job in 2012 before announcing he was leaving the show in 2016 for a full-time on-air position with Good Morning America.
Prior to gaining recognition as the host of Live! Ripa was best known for her work in Daytime Soaps, particularly as Hayley Vaughan on ABCs former soap, All My Children. She met Consuelos on that show.
Seacrest first became known when Fox debuted their talent show competition series American Idol in 2002. He served as the host of the show every season until it ended its run in 2016.
In other news today: A dog bit a man.
Well maybe it has to do with all this go gay trending media stuff, who knows?
RE: Well maybe it has to do with all this go gay trending media stuff, who knows?
Do you know something about Seacrest we don’t know?
I don’t give a crap who she has as a cohost. But I’ve always thought Kelly looks like a bobblehead. She has this tiny body and a big ol’ head...
For me this is another one of those - “I think I’ve probably watched about 8 minutes of Ripa, and one New Years eve I saw Seacrest on T.V. for about 11 minutes”.
Both instances resulted switching stations (er... channels) but I probably shut the box off and played some piano or something...
“They don’t dance like Carmen no more” - Jimmy Buffet
There is just so much we don’t know.
There has been this trend, like how Super Girl went from a great show on a main network to a side network, then the show went gay with lesbian themes and I had to cut it off for my eight year old.
Now also way too many homosexuals heading news desks compares to their percentage of the population.
Anyone still getting news or entertainment from these sources is really missing out.
I endured listening to this show briefly while I was waiting for my car to be serviced. Inane drivel does not even begin to describe what passes for conversation. Do people really sit and listen to this mindless chatter and lame banter? That goes double (or triple) for “The View.”
Another squealing fruitloop, eh?
What’s wrong with Ryan Seacrest? He’s more like Regis than anybody else on the scene.

Who and Who ?
Do people really sit and listen to this mindless chatter and lame banter?
= = =
Interesting question. Maybe it is passive, not active. It is there in the background as a filler for any ‘gaps’ in their daily conversation. Constantly reinforcing their philosophical and cultural ‘foundation’. It might be called brainwashing, but nothing is getting cleaned.
RE: Do people really sit and listen to this mindless chatter and lame banter? That goes double (or triple) for The View.
The fact that these shows have been around for years ( and oh yeah, I saw these shows in Australia too ), just tells us how many people who DO watch these shows.
What up wif dat? Ain’t she no dat Ryan be white? Ain’t she no that black lives matter now. Word down!
RE: Aint she no dat Ryan be white?
Well, what to say? The black guy just up and left....
I'm surprised Kelly Ripa would, too.
He is and has a great work ethic. This is a really big commitment and I’m surprised he accepted. I really don’t watch the show but it’s nice for people who want to be entertained.
