In the end Kim retains his people loyalty.
Only through fear and intimidation.
Since his populous respects strength and witnesses his intimidation of the west, should the hierarchy of North Korea be eliminated, it would be the most peaceful resolve as the population would then acquiesce to the victor.
Well it’s a circle.....Kim uses fear and intimidation against his people until that isn’t working quite so well, especially as the people are more and more aware of the outside world...even though many don’t ‘believe’ it quite yet they are being exposed to it.
When they get videos etc. these are like us watching Willy
Wonka....they don’t “believe” it and see it as entertainment. It’s not something “real’ to many of them.
At any rate...Kim doesn’t easily keep their loyalty as easily as his father did....I’ve seen videos of rural people talking back to the authorities, women as well, and these military soldiers are easily bought off. Everybody is on the take in NKorea.
So of course once Kim starts loosing thier loyality he starts killing off officials, accusing them of being against “father”.....even family members....but this only works for a time....then he needs an outside enemy to make the people afraid the worlds coming after them.
(.heck he’s going broke just from all the gifts and rewards he has to offer his administration to remain loyal..and they not only expect increases every year, but they watch carefuly what each other gets.
Good info...thanks.
The Fat Boy is in a bad spot.
Good point.
“But Trumps using the right vocabulary ...”
Yes, he is, and more than it being a message to NK Trump’s Tweet was a backhanded volley just over the net into Beijing’s forecourt, framing this as China’s ball; for them to put action — or not — behind the tough talk they were laying down a couple of weeks ago.
Any which way you slice it, Trump teed it high and left it there for the universe to watch, and we’re ALL going to find out in the next 2 or 3 days who’s got the stones to walk their talk, and who’s just full of $#it.
Costly? How costly to the US will it be to maintain forces in the regions and maintain a war footing with a crazy dictator for the next couple generations? I did not say the DMZ came down the first day did I? It will be the S Koreans worry once the shooting stops how to maintain order, NOT OURS. The S Koreans should rebuild N Korea, NOT US.
People in the gulags? If you are worried about them, go get them out on your dime not mine. If you need a map let me know.
We cannot hold the entire World's hand and nation build. Go into N Korea and get rid of the threat(s) and come home.
You know you’re not Chinese. That’s ridicurous.
Bad? OFFS
It is, or it isn’t?
LOL
There around 20+ different subway lines in Tokyo. Only 1 decided to shut for about 10 minutes after launch. No biggie.
I believe Tokyo Metro is of the two operators with several separate lines. It is part of an effort to brainwash the population into a ‘we have to go to war against NK’ state of mind. There was also a bullet train that now has a policy of stopping for missile strikes.
