WEll, these should have S/Ns and MAC addresses in the inventory records. Apple should be able to shut them all down, with some cooperation I would think. My thoughts, precisely.
If the thieves turn them on, the authorities should be able to locate the stolen devices, and them, is this not so?

They all have GPS devices in them that once activated by the FindMy Device cannot be turned off. Oops, thieves, you are owned by the police.
