That is exactly what we do when one of our cats passes on.

We take our beloved cat to the veterinarian and have it
cremated and put the ashes in a cat-shaped urn.

Many cats die of renal failure, so we make sure that all
the foods they eat are kidney boosters and good health.

“We take our beloved cat to the veterinarian and have it cremated and put the ashes in a cat-shaped urn.”

We believed we were doing that, too. Turns out the woman who had the crematory was just chucking the animals on her property. (Cremation is expensive.) She was returning miscellaneous ashes (fireplace, etc.?) to customers. We have no idea what’s in the urn with our kitty’s name on it.

We keep in touch with the Prosecutor’s office to get status updates but it’s discouraging. WE HOPE OTHERS ARE BUGGING THE DA, TOO. I guess she was indicted on environmental laws, but it appears they aren’t going to do anything about it and will let it slide. They’re on her about other issues — drugs, I guess.

Anyhow, be sure you know how deceased pets truly are being handled.
