This is not true in rural America. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth for millions of Americans.
Dish networks supply the internet. Just subscribe to some satellite company and you’ll have it along with TV and whatever. I’ve driven through desolate wastes of ND/SD and was able to connect to the internet through my cellphone. I’ve seen dish antenna’s on pretty much all of those houses I could see from the interstate.
