More details are emerging regarding the death of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, and theyre troubling.
Via WBZ-TV, the phrase John 3:16 was written on Hernandezs forehead, and red marker was on his hands and feet. John 3:16 is a popular Biblical verse, the 16th verse of the third chapter of the Gospel According to John: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I doubt it’s your call.
It is never too late.
However, committing suicide seems to indicate that he never came to Christ.
From the looks of all his other tattoos it was probably the only blank space left on his body to write anything
Sooooo you’re saying he hung himself in his jail cell after accepting Christ? Just askin’.
It's what you do that defines who you are.
Now that’s funny!
Amen to that.
“Missed by that much”
(thumb and forefinger pressed together)
Actually, I think he was acknowledging the guidance of a college team mate named Tebow.
He was evil.
“It’s what you do that defines who you are.”
If doing good can define you as being good, what was the purpose of Christ dying on the cross and being resurrected?
Did Christ come to save the good, or the bad?
The good news is, he died doing what I love...
Saving the money of taxpayers.
He should have read “Thou shalt not kill” before this.
And what’s with the ambulance chasing lawyer?
Synthetic pot? Where did he get that idea? Looking to sue to the prison system for millions, get ready.
Isn’t suicide a mortal sin?
That is probably good for his little girl.
“For the son of man is come to seek and to save the lost.” —Luke 19:10
Christ came for real sinners. The problem is most men don’t see themselves as all that bad. They don’t understand their dire need of a savior. I know nothing about Hernandez, but I do know some criminals genuinely turn to Christ. I suspect it’s easy for some of them to come to the end of themselves, to truly understand they are genuine bona fide sinners with a deep hopeless sin debt.
I don’t justify killing but who did he kill? A drug thug or a gang thug? Is it a loss? Ok again not justifying but are we better off with the person Aaron killed gone forever?
If I remember correctly, Hernandez had a huge tattoo of Jesus on his back with his last name, Hernandez, tattoed above the face of Jesus.
Jesus is gazing upward at the name, “Hernandez.” Weird.
