How would one perform this “hard restart” of which ye speaketh? And are there any potential problems that this may cause? iPad here.

How would one perform this hard restart of which ye speaketh? And are there any potential problems that this may cause? iPad here. Hold the power button and the home button for 10 to 15 seconds until the screen goes blank. Then restart with the power button only. This clears the RAM and the forces a cold shut down. If you hold it for only a second it takes a screen shot.

No, no problems or issues to do it. It’s something one should do from time to time just to clear junk that builds up in RAM.
