On an iPad? Which browser? I'm using the default Safari app, and don't get a lower right corner drag spot. I do on a regular computer, so I know what you're talking about. But not on the tablet. I'd love to be able to resize it on the iPad. I think that's what Yaelle is talking about too.
Works fine for me.
Sorry Yaelle, wrong thread.
Yes, that is what happens. Before, I could easily just reach out a finger on the creeen above the keyboard and scroll up to see what I am writing. Now, it seems to get stuck more often than not, so I can’t see what I am writing. And I make a lot of mistakes, but can’t correct them because you have to see where to put your finger on the screen to get the cursor to your error.
Right this second it is working, but I’m not sure why lately sometes it is not.
I did all of those things which didn’t help.
However, I do get the “feeling” lately like my iPad may be reaching its senior years. It’s an Air. I’d love to get the pro. That would solve my problems.... except paying for it, of course....
Question, SM, about the pro — does it have a way to work with online programs that require a computer? I don’t want/have a computer, but the iPad is stopped Cold by programs like making a photo book, making an ancestry.com book, saving 23andme “hard data” for up,leading elsewhere, etc. I’m betting the Pro doesn’t help with that, but I thought you’d know.
Frankly, Yaelle, I don't know because I haven't tried those websites. Such sites are usually a problem because they use Microsoft Tools for the construction of their pages which is proprietary to Microsoft. When I run across them I write to the CEO of the company and inquire if they are in the business of promoting Microsoft products or their own products or services. It's amazing how quickly their websites suddenly become universally compliant with all devices. I never try to make such complaints through their IT or website departments. You are likely to get abuse or blamed for not "using a real computer to connect to their website." The CEO is never aware the IT or website designer is limiting access.
I've never gotten the drag handle either. I too would love to resize the editing window and have written Apple requesting it. No joy.
Ok; I will do the same. Agreed. They limit access. They could allow any number of workarounds that don’t require building an app for mobile, but, hey, if they are doing well, they should do that too. Thanks.
My workaround so far is to use my Zagg keyboard/case, because then I can use the Zagg’s cursor arrow keys to move around in the edit box.
Another idea. Get a keyboard case.. or just a Bluetooth keyboard maybe?
Yeah, a BT keyboard would work for this. I have a Mac wireless KB that works well with the iPad.
Hard reset. Try it.
